Google decided to sunset GA3 in 2023, replacing it with GA4.

Even though it’s no longer actively tracking website analytics in GA3, Google is still storing the data that was collected over the years… for now.

All historical data collected in GA3 will be permanently deleted in 2024.

OUR PROCESS

We developed a Python code that extracts historical GA3 data through the Google Analytics Reporting API.

 

 

 

We visualize the extracted GA3 data in custom, interactive dashboards on Looker Studio.

 

Looker Studio reports provide detailed session breakdowns by page, events, and goal completion for a better understanding of how users interact with a site. These insights will help with future optimization.

Viewing sessions by device, browser, and operating system helps determine how users are visiting a site. This can be used to tailor future content to improve a site’s user experience.

Detailed breakdowns of user demographics by locations and other behavior metrics make targeted and personalized marketing campaigns more effective.
